BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA’S 100TH ANNIVERSARY

WINCHESTER AMMUNITION SUPPORTS BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA’S 100TH ANNIVERSARY

9/2/2010

Between July 26 and August 4, nearly 45,000 Boy Scouts and leaders descended on Fort A.P. Hill, near Bowling Green, Va., for the 2010 National Jamboree.  During this event, the Boy Scouts celebrated their 100th anniversary.

The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. Winchester Ammunition supported these values as a silver level sponsor during the national jamboree.

As part of their sponsorship, Winchester® Ammunition provided the organization the 20-gauge AA® ammunition for all their shooting activities throughout the Jamboree.

“Winchester Ammunition was proud to be a part of the Boy Scouts of America’s 100th anniversary celebration,” said Dick Hammett, Winchester Ammunition president. “This year has been special for both Winchester and the Boy Scouts. While they’re celebrating 100 years of success, we’re celebrating Oliver Winchester’s 200th birthday, the most famous name in the shooting sports.”

For more than 40 years, AA Target Loads have reigned as the standard for excellence and overwhelming choice of serious target shooters all over the world, including the USA Shooting Shotgun Team.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations.
