Developed by Winchester and Nosler, the E-Tip bullet—like all Winchester® rifle bullets—is made from gilding metal, the preferred bullet material for decades. Gliding metal, an alloy of copper and zinc, provides a stronger more robust bullet and reduces barrel fouling and engraving forces compared to pure copper bullets.

E-Tip ammunition is designed with the E²™ Energy Expansion Cavity, which promotes expansion at long and short ranges; and a massive mushroom for deep penetration and wound channels.

The E-Tip bullet is designed to meet pending state game laws that require lead free cartridges for hunting without sacrificing performance in the field.
